Home favourite and number one seed Berik Abdrakhmanov continued his winning start to APB by outpointing the exciting Charly Suarez who also won his opening round match.

Abdrakhmanov began the fight in control, winning the first few rounds, but his Filipino opponent made life difficult for him in the middle stages of the fight.

Cheered on by his adoring home crowd, Abdrakhmanov always displayed calmness, and the speed of Suarez was often calmed by the efficiency and power of the AIBA World Championships bronze medalist.

Despite a fine last round from Suarez, it was the Kazakh who had done enough to earn a comfortable points decision victory.
