Career highlight: Bronze medalist – London 2012 Olympic Games
Andrey Zamkovoy has a certain depth in top-level experience, having participated in a host of boxing tournaments around Europe and on the biggest international stages where he has enjoyed success in abundance.
One of the slick southpaw’s major achievements came at the AIBA World Boxing Championships in 2009 where he won the silver medal. Zamkovoy is also a former Olympian, competing in the London 2012 Games. where the rowdy Russian went on to win his first three fights, dispatching highly regarded American hope Errol Spence Jr., now a force on the professional circuit stateside, on his way to claiming an impressive bronze medal.
The aggressive Zamkovoy has an extremely varied fighting style. He enjoys boxing at distance, using his long reach to good effect, whilst also having fantastic lateral movement on the back foot, allowing him to easily slip and roll his opponents punches.
A proven and quality competitor on the world stage, Zamkovoy is more than a match for any of the APB’s welterweights.
