Career highlight: Gold medalist – Asian Boxing Championships Amman 2013

Berik Abdrakhmanov has recently emerged as one of Kazakhstan’s brightest boxing stars, becoming the latest in a long line of fighters from the Central Asian country to excel on the world stage.

Having won the gold medal at the 2013 Asian Boxing Championships and thus becoming the champion of his continent, Abdrakhamnov then graduated to world honours, winning a bronze at the AIBA World Boxing Championships later on the same year.

Seemingly on the crest of a wave of success in his career, Abdrakhmanov will come to the APB brimming with confidence to fulfil his considerable potential.

A stocky powerhouse who is always in tremendous physical condition, the burly Abdrakhmanov likes to unsettle his opponent in the ring with constant lateral movement and mounts compact attacks by meticulously applying pressure with hard, fast combinations.

In defense he employs an impregnably tight guard, keeping his hands high and persistently twisting and ducking to avoid punches.

A proven quality competitor who has achieved significant success during a glittering career,Berik Abdrakhmanov is a boxer who brings to AIBA Pro Boxing solid continental and international experience and a burning desire to succeed, making him undoubtedly one to watch in the 60kg category.
