Career highlight: Bronze medalist – London 2012 Olympic Games
Still only 22 years old, Lithuanian Evaldas Petrauskas represents one of the brightest talents in European boxing, already boasting a string of stellar achievements in the ring.
He was the gold medalist at the 2009 Junior European Boxing Championships in Yerevan and followed this up by winning silver medals in two events in 2010 – at the Junior Olympic Games in Singapore and the Youth World Boxing Championships in Baku.
In his first ever Olympic Games, London 2012, Petrauskas won the bronze medal, adding the biggest achievement in his young boxing career to an already impressive CV.
A voraciously stern opponent, Petrauskas has the perfect style to cause problems for all comers in the light welterweight division. A muscle-bound brawler with an abundance of boxing brains, he likes to apply constant pressure on his opponents, imposing his squat, stocky stature with hurtful power punches.
An insatiably powerful performer in the ring, the strapping Petrauskas will be hoping to achieve even more glittering success on the APB stage.
