Career highlight: London 2012 Olympian
Ilyas Suleimenov is a classy, highly-skilled boxer who has already graced the Olympic Games canvas, turning out at London 2012 under the colors of his native Kazakhstan, something which he will want to replicate by this time qualifying through APB.
Suleimenov has a slick style and carries his left hand low, but when up close, he fights with a tight guard and can be scrappy when he needs to grind out a win. What is special about him as a fighter is the natural fleeting footwork that allows him to slip his opponent’s shots and counterpunch with blurring hand speed.
At 23 years old, the Kazakhstani warrior will be looking to build on the experience he gained from boxing in Season IV of WSB for the Astana Arlans Kazakhstan. The APB represents his chance to announce himself to the world on one of the biggest boxing stages.
