Stance: Orthodox

Career highlight: Silver medallist – AIBA World Boxing Championships Almaty 2013

Jasurbek Latipov is a wily operator who has stellar experience on the world stage. He won a bronze medal at the World Championships in 2011 in Baku and in 2013 he went one better by winning the silver at the same tournament in Almaty.

Latipov has mastered his craft in the ring while perfecting the knowledge of how to use a rough and tumble style to unsettle his opponents but, despite his ring cunning, nothing can be taken away from his boxing ability. The Uzbek is an awkward and clever fighter who likes to switch hit, fighting from a compact stance with an almost robotic delivery of punches and changing his stance from southpaw to orthodox when necessary.

A stern competitor, he is not afraid to turn things ugly in a fight if he needs to win and also emerged victorious from his sole fight for the Ukraine Otamans in WSB Season IV.

As his solid resume dictates, Latipov will certainly prove problematic for anyone coming up against him in the APB tournament.
