Career highlight: Bronze medallist – Beijing 2008 Olympic Games
Pint-sized Province of Naples native Vincenzo Picardi is a solidly consistent performer on the international circuit and a fighter that brings experience, aggression and sound boxing brains to the APB tournament.
These strengths have seen him pick up bronze medals at the 2007 AIBA World Boxing Championships, and at the European Championships two years running in 2010 and 2011 – all whilst competing as a flyweight.
He has also already had the honor of representing his country in the Olympic Games, winning a bronze medal at Beijing 2008.
Picardi boasts an impressive 10-2 record in the World Series of Boxing, where he has competed every season for Italia Thunder. He will draw on this and countless other successes in international competition to give him an edge over his rivals in a very competitive weight category.
The southpaw fights with a tight, closed guard, and likes to stalk his opponent around the ring before marauding forward with a barrage of punches.
